I am committed to the success of every student regardless of what their desired result might be. Whether your goal is to be a professional performer, to win an all-state audition, or simply to learn to read music and have fun, I believe in crafting an individual curriculum for each student specifically designed to progress toward their goals as efficiently as possible. My mission is to help each student prepare material relevant to their own interests and goals on the path to fostering a lifelong enjoyment and appreciation of music.

No two people are alike, and neither are any two aspiring saxophonists. While I emphasize mastery of the basic elements of saxophone performance (tone production, appropriate technique, and musical comprehension), these concepts are often applied differently by performers of varied abilities and there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to making music. Music has the ability to both create and spread joy, and improving as a performer should never come at the expense of enjoyment.
